Description
And now that we're well into June I'm finally getting around to posting a screenshot of the desktop setup I was using for May 2011. Ok, I didn't use this all month and in fact before posting now I made some other tweaks and modifications because I couldn't resist. But the dock and custom icons were used all month and I did spend most of May rockin' a Gorillaz theme, a bit of a break from the steady stream of Unity-related desktops I'd been using for months.
Wallpaper: Gorillaz images/artwork aren't mine, I simply crafted them into the desired wallpaper image. I had my machine set to rotate between a set of four different wallpapers, the above is just one of those (obviously).
Day, Date & Weather: that's NerdTool [link] in action using the Gorillaz font from dafont.com [link]
Battery, CPU, RAM, HD Info and Trash Size: more examples of NerdTool in action.
Tabs on the right for Local/Remote Folders: that's a DragThing [link] dock using the SimpleOne theme by StefanKa here on DA [link]
Folder Icons: the custom folder icons shown are taken from the Maji System icon set by Jonas Rask, specifically the Maji Ninja set. [link]
Dock Icons/Dock Tabs: these were heavily inspired by, or more accurately modified versions of neodesktop's DockTabs 00 icons [link]
There's more lurking in there I suppose, the menubar is actually invisible and takes its color purely from the wallpaper, the menubar icons are mostly stock but a few are custom (part my work part others) but more needs to be done, I made the custom blue Apple icon, blah blah blah.
If folks have any questions just let me know!
